Electronic travel authorization may be available with conditions
Travelers may be eligible to apply for travel authorization to visit Argentina for Tourism. The following travelers are eligible to apply for Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before entering Argentina: -Travelers who don’t need a visa to enter United States and who can demonstrate that they entered United States at least 1 time in the last 2 years; -Travelers who already have a valid ESTA ( Electronic Travel Authorization for United States); -Travelers who have a valid United States B1, B2, J, P (P1-P3), E and H1-B visa. Travelers must obtain an eTA before entering Argentina. Travelers can submit the eTA application online. Once the application is approved, travelers receive their eTA confirmation electronically. An eTA is electronically linked to a passport and valid for up to 3 months If travelers receive a new passport, they must apply for a new eTA. A valid eTA is required to board the flight. If the eTA is expired or doesn’t match the traveler’s passport information, travelers will not be able to board their flight.

Travelers need a visa to visit Argentina for Business or Tourism. A paper or embassy visa is the only visa available for travelers visiting Argentina. The visa is typically a stamp or sticker added to the passport. Travelers must obtain this visa from a local embassy, consulate or visa center before traveling.
