You need a visa for Australia if you have an Iranian passport
Visa options for Australia
Electronic visitor visa is suspended
Travellers need a visa to visit Australia for Business or Tourism. An Arrival Control Determination is in effect from March 26, 2026 for 6 months. Travellers outside Australia who hold a Visitor (Subclass 600) visa linked to an Iranian passport cannot use that visa to travel to Australia during this period. Affected travellers may apply for a Permitted Travel Certificate through the Department of Home Affairs' Arrival Control Determination Portal. This restriction does not apply to the following travellers: -The spouse, de facto partner, or dependent child of an Australian citizen, permanent visa holder, or unrestricted Australian resident; -The parent of a child under 18 who is in Australia; -Travellers who were in Australia when the Determination commenced; -Travellers who have been issued a Permitted Travel Certificate; Exempt travellers must provide evidence before travelling. New visa applications continue to be accepted and processed. For full details, see the source.
