You need an embassy visa for Guernsey if you have a Saint Lucian passport

Visa options for Guernsey

Embassy visa

Visitor visa

Travelers need a visa to visit Guernsey for Business or Tourism. The United Kingdom is moving from physical immigration documents to eVisas. If you use a biometric residence permit (BRP), biometric residence card (BRC), or visa vignette sticker or ink stamp in your passport to prove your rights, or to enter the UK, check the link to find out what you need to do. Creating a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account to access your eVisa is free, straightforward, and the move to an eVisa will not affect your underlying immigration status. Visa nationals should continue to carry their in-date physical immigration documents with them when they travel internationally, along with their passport. If you have a biometric residence permit or card (BRP/BRC) you should continue to carry it with you when you travel. If you use an eVisa to prove your rights in the UK, then you must tell the Home Office about any passport you intend to use for travel if it is not already linked to your UKVI account. Access your UKVI account by checking the link to do this well before you travel. Travelers should check transit requirements for any other countries they transit through before arriving in the Guernsey.

Learn more: United Kingdom eTA for Saint Lucian passport holders

Everything you need to know for Saint Lucian citizens

Travelers visiting Guernsey for under six months require an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). An ETA is not a visa. Travelers can submit an ETA application online. Once the application is approved, travelers receive their ETA confirmation electronically. Travelers visiting Guernsey for more than six months, for example to live, work or study in Guernsey, should check the source for more details. For travelers who are existing visa holders who live in Guernsey and use a physical immigration document to prove their rights, Guernsey is moving from physical immigration documents to eVisas. Travelers with existing visas should take action now to create a Guernsey Visas and Immigration account to access their eVisa. An eTA is electronically linked to a passport and valid for up to 2 years for multiple entries. If travelers receive a new passport, they must apply for a new eTA. Different requirements may apply to visitors traveling directly to Guernsey who do not first pass through the immigration control in the United Kingdom. The ETA requirement doesn’t apply to: - Travelers who are dual citizens with British or Irish citizenship. Dual citizens must prove their permission to travel using a British passport, Irish passport, or other passport containing a certificate of entitlement; - Travelers with a valid visa; - Travelers with permission to live, work, or study in the United Kingdom (including settled or pre-settled status or right of abode); - Travelers who live in Ireland traveling from Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey, or the Isle of Man; - Travelers transiting through the United Kingdom who will not pass through border control (‘airside’ transit).
