Electronic visitor visa beginning 5 February, 2026
Beginning February 5, 2026, travelers will be able to apply for an Electronic Visitor visa to visit Mexico for Business or Tourism. A dedicated government link for Electronic Visitor visa will be published closer to the implementation date. Until then, travelers should obtain a Visitor visa in advance through the current application process.

Visitor visa until 4 February, 2026
Travelers need a visa to visit Mexico for Business or Tourism until 4 February, 2026. Beginning February 5, 2026, travelers will be able to apply for an Electronic Visitor visa to visit Mexico for Business or Tourism. Until February 5, 2026, a paper or embassy visa is the only visa available for travelers visiting Mexico. Travelers must obtain a paper or embassy visa from an embassy, consulate or visa center before traveling.
