Travelers need a visa to visit New Zealand for Business or Tourism. Travelers who are Australian permanent residents, or cruise ship passengers, or transiting through Auckland International Airport on the way to or from Australia, are eligible for an Electronic Travel Authorization. Most applications are approved within 3 days. Governments do not guarantee processing times, so be sure to submit your application as early as possible.

How long can I stay in New Zealand with my eVisa?

You are able to stay in New Zealand for up to 3 months. If you wish to stay longer, please refer to the information at the top of this page to see if there are any long-stay visa options. If there are none, please contact your nearest New Zealander embassy or consulate for more information on how to extend your stay.

Your eVisa is valid for 2 years from the arrival date included in your application.
