Visitor visa

Travelers need a visa to visit United States for Business or Tourism. A paper or embassy visa is the only visa available for travelers visiting United States. The visa is typically a stamp or sticker added to the passport. Travelers must obtain this visa from a local embassy, consulate or visa center before traveling. Beginning January 21, 2026, immigrant visa issuance is paused. Tourist and other nonimmigrant visas are not affected. Travelers attending the 2026 FIFA World Cup may be eligible for FIFA PASS, a priority appointment scheduling system offered by the U.S. Department of State that allows ticket holders to access expedited visa interview slots.
